Who or what is On a Sensual Note?

On a Sensual Note is the premiere all-male a cappella from American University made up of 10–15 guys. We perform our unique brand of a cappella across our campus, D.C. and the East Coast. Our shows are energetic and funny, and often include strobe lights, laser shows and fireworks.

Are all of the members Performing Arts majors?

Surprisingly, the majority of our group are not performing arts majors. Although we have a few members from the Department of Performing Arts, we have members whose majors stretch across the entire board.

What is "A cappella"?

A cappella, for the uninitiated, is some Latin mumbo jumbo which refers to vocal music performed without instruments. All of our arrangements are done by our members, in a process during which we lock them in a chamber of snakes with a pitch pipe, a pencil and a box of tic-tacs for 48 hours. We sing pop songs and classics pieces, as well as a few rap and hip-hop tunes. Essentially, On a Sensual Note is about great music, great friends and lots of fun along the way — friendship through harmony.
